Housing investment breakfast at Labour Party Conference

Funding Labour’s ambitions for UK Housing – the sector’s response
June’s spending review laid out the government’s approach to driving housing. We had a new affordable homes programme, a 10-year rent settlement and consultation on convergence to address capacity issues among social housing providers, and a new National Housing Bank, aiming to drive an additional £16bn of new investment.
If the government has set out its position, the big question now is how will the sector respond? How will it look to drive as much investment as possible into the delivery of homes of all tenures. What does this mean in terms of its offer back to government.
The breakfast briefing will explore how best to mobilise more funding and look at the partnerships that will be needed to maximise delivery.
We’ll be hearing from a panel of policy makers, industry experts and funders to discuss strategies for securing that vital investment.
